BioIQ’s Test Kits for Corporate Wellness Screening
A1c/Diabetes & Cholesterol Panel Combo Test
The BioIQ A1c/Cholesterol Combination Test conducts two important tests from one blood sample.
- For heart disease, it measures the amount of total cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides, and the LDL cholesterol value.
- The kit also includes your choice of diabetes tests – either A1c or Glucose.
- The A1c test measures your average blood sugar over the past 90 days.
- The glucose test measures your blood sugar (glucose) at the time of testing. The glucose test is typically used when complementing an on-site employer screening program that also performs glucose and cholesterol panel testing.
The combo test kit helps you determine your risk for heart disease, especially if you have been diagnosed with or are at risk for any form of diabetes.
A1c or Glucose
The BioIQ A1c Diabetes Test Kit is an important test for individuals with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, as well as for people who are at risk for developing the disease. It measures the total amount of hemoglobin A1c in your blood, which reflects your blood sugar levels for the past 90 days. The A1c test does not require fasting.
The BioIQ Glucose Diabetes Test Kit is an important test for people who are at risk for developing diabetes. It measures your blood sugar (glucose) level at the time of testing. You must fast for 9 to 12 hours prior to taking this test.
Nearly 24 million people in the U.S. currently have diabetes and about one-quarter of these people are unaware that they have the disease. Approximately 57 million people in the U.S. currently have pre-diabetes and over half are unaware of their risk. Lowering hemoglobin A1c can reduce complications associated with diabetes.
Cholesterol Panel Test
The BioIQ Cholesterol Panel Test measures the amount of total cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides, and the LDL cholesterol value. This is an important test to help you determine your risk for heart disease, especially for individuals diagnosed with, suspected of, or at risk of having any form of diabetes.
Colorectal Disease Test
The BioIQ FOBT/Colorectal Cancer Test Kit has been clinically proven to be accurate for the detection of trace amounts of blood in the stool – an early indicator of various gastrointestinal disorders including colorectal cancer. It is a simple, sanitary, fast home test requiring no stool handling.
Early detection of colorectal cancer saves lives and is up to 90% curable when detected early. The American Cancer Society recommends that men and women over age 50, and those who have a personal or family history of lower intestinal disorders, conduct an occult blood test yearly or as often as their physician recommends.
The BioIQ NTx Osteoporosis Test uses a small urine sample to detect N-Telopeptide, which is an indicator of bone deterioration. While the test cannot be used to diagnose osteoporosis, regular NTx testing is a useful tool in monitoring and assessing your overall bone health.
Osteoporosis and low bone mass are currently estimated to be a major public health threat for almost 44 million U.S. women and men aged 50 and older. Women’s Health America recommends this test.
The BioIQ Microalbumin Kidney Disease Test detects abnormal levels of albumin in a urine sample to detect the deterioration of kidney function that can lead to kidney disease.
More than 20 million adults in the U.S. over age 20 have chronic kidney disease, and 20 million more are at increased risk.
According to the National Kidney Foundation, people aged 18 years and older who have diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of these risk factors should take a microalbumin test once per year to screen for kidney disease.
The BioIQ PSA/Prostate Cancer Test Kit is one of the best tools available for detecting prostate cancer in its earliest and most curable stages by measuring the PSA level of your blood. The American Cancer Society, the National Cancer Institute, and the American Medical Association recommend this type of test.
Most doctors recommend digital rectal examinations and PSA tests for men beginning at the age of 50.
Prostate cancer is the second most common type of cancer in men in America and second only to lung cancer as the primary cause of cancer death in men.
The BioIQ TSH/Thyroid Disorder Test Kit measures the amount of TSH in the blood as an indicator of both hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) and hypothyroidism (under active thyroid).
Thyroid hormones control metabolism and organ function, directly affecting weight, energy levels, skin condition, memory, heart rate, cholesterol levels, menstrual regularity, and many other functions.
More than 27 million Americans have overactive or under active thyroid glands. The American Thyroid Association, the Thyroid Foundation of America, and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) recommend this type of test.
